On the anniversary of Bart Bass’ death, Chuck begins to see his father, reminding him of the way Bart used to think of Chuck as soft. Chuck, intimidated by this pushes Blair away from him. Serena finds out that Tripp and Maureen set up a plan for Serena to be his secret mistress, however Serena get angry and asks Tripp to take her back to the city. On the way they get into a car accident, resulting in Serena being hurt and Tripp leaves. He then shows up at the hospital to see Serena, but is attacked by Nate, and leaves with Maureen.
